A very quick update to tell you how smart I''m getting, and how my 12 month doctor appointment went. The doctor said I looked great, though I''m a pretty picky eater, which is ok. He said I''m developing well, and according to my survey that we had to fill out, I am actually a little ahead of the game. Which of course Mommy thinks is SO true :)
The reason for that is that I recognize, and can identify, at least 4 letters of the alphabet - B, D, P, and Q. When I see a B or a D, I say the sound that they make. When I see a P, I say P. When I see a Q, I say "coo", which Mommy thinks is super cute. And the best part is when we are reading the alphabet book Auntie Kris gave me for my birthday and we get to the O-P page, I say coo and turn the page for Q. Last night I pointed at E and said E, but that''s only happened one time. I''ve been watching quite a few alphabet videos over the past 6 weeks, due to the large number of ear infections and trying to get me to eat my bottles. Obviously they''re having an effect on me!
One other brief note...I took my first ''digger'' this week, on my birthday. Mommy and I were outside, with my walking toy. We went to Justin and Emily''s next door, and I followed Mommy the whole way there (I debated following the dog through the grass but Mommy said otherwise). But on the way home, Mommy had walked down the driveway to go get the mail, and I decided to run after her. Not such a good idea. My face hit the pavement and I got some road rash on my lip, nose, and chin. Not too bad. I''m sure there will be worse!
